Fried Cheese Curds
Fried cheese curds, how can you go wrong?
We recently went to visit my best friend, Pam, and her family in Watertown, New York. It’s called North Country and is basically about 30 minutes from the Canadian border. On a previous visit we had gone with them to Alexandria Bay nearby on the St. Lawrence River. A shop there was selling River Rat cheese curds. We bought them and they were delicious.
If you know anything about cheese curds, they are best when they are super fresh. So this time when visiting, we grabbed a huge bag of cheddar cheese curds. We enjoyed some and brought the rest home. Since they weren’t super fresh once we got home, yet we didn’t want to waste them, we decided to try frying them. And let me say, it was a success!
Here’s the recipe for how we made our fried cheese curds…
